MossBack’s NEW Reed Habitat products are biologist-designed to scientifically draw fish to structure, and provide rest and food for fish. The Reed Mat is used to create large areas of dense cover for sport fish, imitating natural reed vegetation like cattails. As an added benefit, fish like crappie and sunfish find protection during spawning. This habitat also creates a defined edge for ambush predators and can be used within a lake to concentrate suspended fish (6’-14’ water depth). Periphyton growth “sticks” on all sides of MossBack’s textured limbs, protecting Fry and Juvenile Fish and creating a feeding ground for bait fish. We suggest mixing this product with the Root Wads and/or Safe Havens to attract and protect fry, forage, and baitfish to create the ultimate fishing spot.
