Springdale, AR- MossBack Fish Habitat has announced the addition of Crappie Pro Staff Manager, Kris Mann to their team in 2024. Mann, a resident of Wellington, KY, comes to MossBack with several years of pro staff management experience. Since 2019, he has managed pro staff and advertising operations for Leland’s Lures in Searcy, AR. Kris will continue to guide Leland’s Lures efforts as well as lead the crappie pro staff management responsibilities at MossBack.
Mann, a long-time touring crappie angler with the Crappie USA tournament trail, is no stranger to the needs of the ever-growing fishing market. His efforts at Leland’s Lures have assisted the company in achieving increased sales and brand awareness each year since his hiring. He hopes to help bring the same kind of success to MossBack. “MossBack Fish Habitat is the premier name in the man-made fish habitat arena”, Mann said. “It is a privilege and blessing to be working with such dedicated and Godly people in an industry that I care deeply about. Managing pro staff operations is especially near and dear to my heart as I’m an avid tournament angler and have several sponsors myself. I hope to assist the company in becoming all that God intends for it to be and I look forward to seeing where He will lead us moving forward.”
Kris, and his father Terry, have been fixtures on the Crappie USA Tournament Trail for many years. Throughout those years they have amassed 4 National Points Championship titles, 2 Sportsman of the Year awards, 9 pro-level wins and 7 top-ten Classic finishes. And, they have seen God’s hand through it all. “Dad and I had no clue that what started out as a hobby for us would eventually become a lifestyle,” said Mann. “Not only has God blessed us with tournament success and great sponsorship opportunities, but he has allowed the crappie fishing industry to become my livelihood. I pray that through the success and open doors He has provided for us that He is glorified.”
Mann is a 2001 graduate of Alice Lloyd College, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, and a 2004 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, where he earned a Master of Science Degree in Juvenile Justice Studies. Kris is also the bi-vocational pastor at Grace Gospel Church in Sharpsburg, KY.
MossBack Fish Habitat’s mission includes providing top-quality fish habitat that promotes the long-term health of fisheries. MossBack plans to use the experience and skills that Mann brings to the team to guide pro staff operations, increase brand awareness and increase sales.
